Jeremiah 7:28, “This is a nation that obeys not the voice of the LORD their God, nor receives correction (instruction) truth is perished, and is cut off from their mouth.”
For those of the Christian faith, it is fearful to contemplate the excesses of wickedness to which the Lord at times permits His enemies to proceed. How can any reasonable person who being in their right senses; born in a Christian land; having some knowledge of the word be so far removed by their own passions as to declare themselves the enemies of Jesus Christ? These are entirely devoted to the rooting out of Christianity from our land. Evil has taken an oath to destroy every principle of virtue and morality as the inculcation of general depravity opens to our view a deeper gulf of human criminality and lawlessness that even the records of Scripture don’t provide.
“The Lord searches all hearts, and understands all the imaginations of the thoughts (of men).”
Such are men today, whose lives are defiled by the grossest immorality, and whose hearts burn with a demoniacal hatred of the truth. Their watchwords are, “defame and crush the pitiful, contemptible Christians and their Christ.” Such is the language of the heathen as they rage against the Almighty.
False teachers, false prophets; the abominable homosexual world with their liberal friends are opening the minds of our citizens, young and old, male and female to every abomination, and scoff at all that is upright.
Men of God are having little to no effect on the sense and religious principles of those in authority, lawmakers and civil officers who have been invested to uphold the law.
The youth of America have gone mad! They are in a downward spiral that may have no end except that of total destruction. Our colleges are manifesting so skeptical a spirit in our youth that they have become the standard bearers of ever contemptible act against God that one can imagine. And regrettably when they leave their college classrooms, they will search out for themselves those of like mind; those holding to the same opinions and morals driving them deeper into the darkness that awaits them.
Jesus said, “If the world hate you, you know that it hated me before it hated you.”
Many of these young adults are endowed with great natural abilities, versatility, wit and a remarkable power of sarcasm, they having a pointed, easy, and fluent style which is unrestrained by any principles of truth or decency.
They make no secret of their design and hope to destroy Christianity. They are using in crafty ways the political system and courts to enable them to insinuate their infidelity in a most plausible and most offensive manner. They have become the scourge of Christianity, setting out to overthrow every altar where Christ is worshipped, plotting for its destruction, and relentlessly pursuing their unhallowed designs?
They promise the world liberty of thought, teaching that nothing is as contemptible and miserable as those who proclaim, “There is no way to the Father but by His Son Jesus Christ.” Throwing caution to the wind they hope for a quick and final victory. They write and speak against Christians in a way to be offensive, directing their followers to open infidelity, irreligion and atheism. Also the abominable licentiousness of those in the world of entertainment, politicians and lawmaker’s assist them in this conspiracy. They refuse to enforce laws against pornography in order to cover up their own actions of faithlessness, immoral behavior and speech.
The heathen rage at the very name of Jesus Christ. They appear to want revenge on God claiming that it is He who has blackened the heart given them. I am saddened to add, that some in the clergy appear to be in full retreat, and in every public forum, these so called advocates of Christianity seem to take great care in always being defeated.
Not to throw a blanket over all clergy, many still retain the faith, and we can only pray that under any future grievous afflictions and persecution the name of Christ will continue to evince an increased measure of zeal and holiness. But the day is approaching when every passion of man’s nature is left without controls; when human society will begin to perish amidst the horrors of the coming darkness.
Promised liberty, theories, reasoning, opinions, rationalism, and philosophy spew from the mouths of the heathen. The pagan world waits for the day when the sun will shine only on a world free of Christian’s and Jews. The gospel of Jesus Christ is being pierced through with a thousand invisible hands. The state to which we are approaching is one of the signs by which men should recognize the coming last war proclaimed by Jesus Christ and recorded in the book of Revelation.
All is bought, for all is sold; conscience, honor, religion, opinions, dignity, power, consideration, love and respect; we are becoming a shipwreck of every truth and of every virtue.
Jeremiah 8:20, “The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved.”The history of the church has been carefully recorded for some two thousand years. In the midst of every temptation and danger, the eternal truth of God’s word has been preserved by His Holy Spirit. All Christians believe, and with one mouth confess one God who created the world by his only-begotten Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ; that He descended from heaven, took upon himself the flesh of a man, suffered at the hands of his enemies and died for us. He was buried and was made alive and is now seated at the right hand of His Father on high. And the Father said to His beloved Son,
“Sit on my right hand, until I make your enemies your footstool.”
