Why The Pre-Trib Rapture Is Correct. Part 4

Why pre tribulation rapture is correct. Edited 4/15/20.

Part 4.

Daniel 9:27, “He will confirm the covenant with many.”

In the above commentaries, part 1-2-3, concerning this subject, I have stated that the “HE,” in Daniel is Jesus Christ. Jesus will send His two witnesses as His representatives, as was John the Baptist a witness to the coming Messiah. The two witnesses are acting as agents, sealed by God, this Substantiated by the power given them by the Holy Spirit.

Then will God deal with the land of Israel, non-believing Jews, and the non-believing Gentile nations. Once the Holy Spirit and the church are withdrawn (raptured,) the Lord will confirm His covenant. This will take place in the 70th week of Daniel, or as we call it, the 7 years of tribulation.

Two questions arise, How will this be done? and what is the covenant the two witnesses will confirm?

Let’s begin with the Abrahamic covenant. God promised Abraham unconditionally that He would make him and his generations a great nation.

Genesis 17-10-11-13. That, Unto Abraham’s seed will I (God) give this land. Also Abraham was to be blessed spiritually, making his name great among the nations, and by Abraham would all the families of the earth be blessed.

Let’s thumb our way through Biblical history. The Arab nations come from Ishmael, the first born of Abraham and Sarah’s handmaiden. Then came Isaac who is the promised seed through Sarah. Isaac was the father of the Jewish nation. From Isaac came Esau, who is the brother of Jacob, who is said to be the father of the Romans.

So we have three nations of people, the Jews, the Gentiles and the church.

Abram’s name was then changed to Abraham, “The father of a multitude of nations.” Sara’s name was changed to Sarah meaning, “Princess of entire world.”

The Jews were called the chosen people. God has commissioned the land, the people, His written word, the Messiah, who is the living Word. We can refer to the Jews as a conduit through which God will in time bless the earth.

Let’s get to the point, What covenant is God going to confirm through His two witnesses? It is plain, and importantly obvious that they will be confirming the Kingship, and Lordship of Jesus Christ. Why? Because they are sent by Him and now represent Him.

But they will also confirm the Abrahamic covenant to the Jews. The Gentiles will hate this message concerning Christ Jesus, and that the Jews, the descendant’s of Abraham and Sarah have a Divine right to the land. Let me explain.

At the age of 8 days old, our Jesus was circumcised. This sealed by His shed blood in the cutting of the flesh. The promises made to Abraham by God through Jesus, have been sealed forever.

Genesis 17:10-11-12-13, concerning the covenant, Jehovah said to Abraham, “This is my covenant, which ye shall keep, between me and you and thy seed after thee; Every child among you shall be circumcised. And ye shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin; and it shall be a token of the covenant between me and you.

And he that is eight days old shall be circumcised among you, every man child in your generations.” Note the plural (generations.) Verse 13, “And my covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant.”

The Hebrew word “Token” means, the sign of anything which cannot itself be seen, as in the sign of the circumcision of the flesh, and later, the circumcision of the heart, as in Christians.

So there you have it. Jesus circumcision sealed the land covenant, the right of the Jews to possess it, and the blessings. Christ fulfilled this covenant through his fleshly circumcision, and then through His death and resurrection He sealed our salvation. So it can be truly said, “It is finished.”
