The Subject And End Of Scripture

The Subject And End Of Scripture:

There is a great deal in the connection existing between the truth of Christianity, and the prophecies relating to predictions, literally, and strictly foretelling of the coming of the Messiah.

Jesus Christ being the great subject and end of Scripture revelation; we need to search the Scriptures for every hidden treasure concerning Jesus written within their pages. We can be assured by the Lord himself that the Scriptures testify of Him.

John 5:39, Jesus said, “Search the Scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.” Also in Moses, the Psalms, and Prophets, there are things concerning Jesus.

Luke 24:25–27, 44. Jesus said, “O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken. Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory. And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself.”

Verse 44, “These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.”

We also have the declaration of an apostle that Jesus gave all the prophets witness.

Acts 10:43, “To him (Jesus) give all the prophets witness, that through His name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.”

So also of the angels of God, that,

Revelation 19:10, “And I (John) fell at his (the angel’s) feet to worship him. And he (the angel) said unto me, See thou do it not; I am thy fellow servant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”
