Who’s To Blame For Sin?
Who is to blame for the fall before the flood, and who is to blame for the condition of mankind today? Blame is never to be attributed to any mere physical agent, but only to a moral one.
Adam and Eve were not ignorant of God’s words, nor were they idiots or insane. They understood God’s rule of right. So also is it with us today! We have God’s word before us; the standards have been set by Jesus Christ Himself. Mankind is in the same exact position today as he was before the flood.
So the answer for the fall lies at the foundation of mankind’s morals. Man is the agent for his own sin, not fallen angels. Before the fall Adam walked with God; He heard His word; the rules and the boundaries were established for us by Him; yet we bent these rules, and crossed over God’s set boundaries.
And last of all, man was put in a perfect situation, a place where God dwelled, a place where he spoke directly to Adam and Eve, yet they rejected all this in order to be like God; in this was the world destroyed by water. So don’t blame fallen angels.
And if you do blame fallen angels, who are you going to blame today? God has given us the standard to follow in His Word. Conformity to this standard is virtue, lack in this conformity results in sin. So, who’s to blame for sin? Answer-each one of us
